Supporting AI Admin experiences across the Microsoft Viva suite used by millions of users. Previously, launched support for multichannel experience in Teams Walkie Talkie, launched Verizon Connect’s Video on Demand and spearheaded a global redesign for multiple gaming platforms.

WORK

When Copilot joined the Viva Suite of products, IT admins had to find a way to control its usage, along with other features, within their tenant. I designed a system that allows them to selectively enable or disable specific products and features for different users and groups. These designs set the standard for other product teams to follow when implementing their own control mechanisms. Read case study.

When I joined the team, Walkie Talkie was already a well-established product. However, our research revealed that users desired features to streamline their workflow, such as being automatically connected to a channel upon opening Walkie Talkie. Additionally, they expressed the need to listen to multiple channels simultaneously. Read case study.

Video functionality relied heavily on AI capabilities. It could identify instances like harsh cornering and speeding, prompting appropriate alerts alongside video footage. However, like any intelligent system, there were occasions when certain events didn't prompt alerts, potentially putting customers at risk of prosecution. We designed a solution for users to easily access specific segments of video within the camera's recordings. Read case study.

Following the release of a new Video on Demand feature, I, as the lead UX designer, identified a critical pain point from user feedback: customers were unable to determine if their security cameras were functioning properly, leading to frustration and distrust. I proposed a solution—a real-time status dashboard to provide clear visibility into camera functionality. The project was presented to leadership and garnered significant praise and attention from various stakeholders for its potential to enhance user experience and restore trust. Read case study.

About me

I've been working as a product designer for the past 8 years, creating useful products for real people - now with a special interest in the human-AI relationship. My story with design dates back to a time when flash websites with music were cool (and they were!). Collaborative mindset, I like to look at the bigger picture and consider the broader impacts of my decisions beyond just the product or feature I'm working on.
